Sikorski Art Club
Artistic society consisting and made for creative people.
We aim to cultivate Polish tradition along with cooperating with local artists and Glasgow School of Art students finding a comon language through art as we believe that it speaks internationally, not minding the borders or cultural differences. Apart from delivering classes can also offer exhibition space.
The Sikorski Art Club was founded in 2022 as an artistic and cultural initiative within The Sikorski Polish Club in Glasgow.
We organise art workshops for children and adults, integration activities, and artistic projects related to Polish and Scottish heritage.
We develop merchandising and heritage projects (t-shirts, mugs, posters e.g. Gen. Maczek, Wojtek the Bear).
We collaborate with educational institutions (e.g. the Art High School in Supraśl, Glasgow School of Art).
We initiated the Sikorski Cinema, organising film screenings and meetings with filmmakers.
We engage in social and cultural events, such as Polish Heritage Day, integrating different parts of the Polish and local communities in Glasgow.
The Art Club has become the artistic heart of Sikorski House, supporting the growth of culture, education, and building a positive image of the Polish community in Scotland.
